Never throw anything away. You never know.I have all of the digital images I've shot since day one -- sorted into "good," "old," and "bad." Good is the current portfolio. Old is earlier versions of the current stuff, or pictures that didn't make the cut. Bad is stuff that is blurred, out-of-focus, etc.From time to time, I go looking through the "old" and the "bad." You never know what you're going to find. (See poem from January 1, 2006.)When I think of all of those great slides and negatives that I threw away fifty years ago, simply because they had a scratch, or some object in the picture that made them unusable. Today, I would have just scanned them in and retouched them on the computer.But who knew then?
