A year in the life...

I took this picture in Central Park, just around sunset. To see the original scene, tilt your head so that you see the picture upside down. What we have here is just the shadows. As sunset neared, I noticed the lengthening shadows of the people walking near the fountain. I decided that the shadows were more interesting than the strollers and I got more than one curious glance, with my camera aimed downwards, busily snapping pictures of the ground. When I looked at the pictures on the computer, they lacked a certain something. So I tried rotating the pictures at different angles and found, to my surprise, that when they were upside down, they took on a whole new life.
