Just a night shot of one of the beautiful little corners you find in New York's Central Park. There was a time when the park was considered dangerous after sunset, but over the last twenty years or so, the park has been restored and is well lit and well policed in the evenings. Certainly as safe as any similar park in Europe. This image was originally caught on film with a camera that had a very wide angle lens. This was shot handheld as I don't carry a tripod. I do have several tripods, but I never got into using them as I feel that I need the freedom of moving around till I find the best viewpoint. Easier without a tripod.I've probably missed a few good shots because my camera wasn't anchored firmly to a tripod. But I've probably gotten even more good shots for precisely that reason.
