A year in the life...

Boy, we could really use some rain around here. Pretty much no rain for the last nine weeks or so, right in the middle of the summer. Most of the rain, heading towards us from the west or the south, seems to bypass this area.The downside is that the farmers around here are having a rough time, and our lawn is sort of brown, as is the field behind the house.The upside is that you don't have to mow the lawn, and the number of bugs and mosquitoes is approaching zero.So think of this picture as a visual rain dance. Perhaps that will lure a little moisture this way.
